Southwest Qld cattle station (posted 31/1/19)

I’m currently looking for a Farm Sitter from late Feb/Early March until end June (but we are flexible both ways).  We live on a large sheep and cattle station in South Western QLD.  We are currently in severe drought, as you are probably aware.  As a result I am going to be in Emerald working from March to June on a short contract, but we will be returning regularly.  My husband will still be based on the farm but will also be taking jobs where he is away several weeks at a time and also, coming to visit us.
We are located 150km south east of Cunnamulla (QLD) off the Jobs Gate Road, or 200km north of Bourke (NSW) travelling north east when you hit Engonnia.  Google the suburb of ‘Noorama QLD 4490’ and that will get you close.  The QLD/NSW border runs through our aggregation.  There are many things to do here during this time of year including the iconic ‘Noorama Races’ www.nooramaracing.com.au ; and Music in the Mulga www.musicinthemulga.com.au plus much more.
The main jobs will be around the house, keeping lawns, pool, chooks and kelpie alive and keeping the house lived in so to speak.  We are able to connect a caravan directly into our Governess accommodation which will give you access to shower, kitchen, foxtel, internet and bedrooms (if you wish).
