Volunteer at the Julia Creek Dirt n Dust Festival, held from 17-19 April 2020

The Julia Creek Dirt n Dust Festival is looking for volunteers in the Grey Nomad community to help out with the 2020 event.

The Julia Creek Dirt n Dust Festival has the perfect opportunity for Grey Nomads wanting to experience a different side of regional events, getting involved with the community behind the scenes.

Applications for volunteer positions that suit the Grey Nomad lifestyle, while offering a number of benefits, are available right now on the Dirt n Dust website.

The Dirt n Dust Festival is looking for two couples who could take on the role of McIntyre Park Hosts to look after the camping grounds during the weekend.

The hosts would arrive during the week leading up to the event to get to know our team and the area they will be looking after. The hosts receive a free campsite, free entry into the Saturday night PBR and concert, limited edition event crew’s shirts and all meals included for the week.

Duties include greeting the guests as they arrive over the weekend with a smile and a friendly word, collecting payment from campers, assigning campsites, making yourself available for queries and questions over the weekend and communicating with cleaners and campsite security.

There are also a number of positions available for volunteering in the week leading up to the event to help the town and event crew set up. These volunteer roles also receive a free campsite, free entry into the Saturday night PBR and concert and all meals included.

If you are travelling through the Outback looking for something different, or just want to get involved with a lively, friendly community there are plenty of options for you.
