Two truck and a car towing a caravan rolled on the Great Eastern Highway. PIC: : Wheatbelt District- WA Police

Two trucks and a car towing a caravan have all rolled off the Great Eastern Highway in the Western Australian wheatbelt.

No one is believed to have been injured in the accident which happened yesterday afternoon just east of the town of Southern Cross.

It remains unclear how all of the vehicles rolled and police investigations are continuing.

The car towing the caravan ended up on its roof on the side of the highway, while both lanes of the highway were blocked by the overturned trucks.

  1. We were there four hours after the smash. One lane was opened after 6 hours. As we were in a four wheel drive and not towing, they sent us off on a bush track bipass. Would be interested to know how it happened. Pretty horrific site.

  2. Safety is something that drivers should keep in mind at all times. Car safety is more than just making sure everyone is wearing their seat belt. Whether you’re going for a long trip or just around the corner.
