Couple Currently Working (updated 23/6/10)
We presently have work until October 2010 and will notify when next available. My husband and I are middle aged. We have a life style place of our own so consequently we are not able to travel until the winter months due to the fear of fires and the need to take care of our own garden. Jon is a handy person who can drive a tractor, operate a chain saw, maintain small motors, ride a motor bike, repair fences etc. I am a registered nurse. I can cook, garden and we have both done fruit picking. For the past two years we have picked plums in the UK. I believe we are good all rounders for most jobs, and if we haven't done the job before we can certainly learn new skills. If anyone has a job for us during the winter months please email us at jpurkiss@activ8.net.au or give us a call on 02 6723 0207.

Couple looking for work (posted 15/3/10)
We are a couple in our early sixties, retired? - no, just on an adventure
while we are still able and healthy. Originally from Europe, but lived some
30 years in New Zealand, we are now in Perth preparing for the big trip
around Australia. We will travel with our motor bike and little tent and
will be looking for house-sitting/pet caring or short term work - anything
that will aide us on our travels - in the Pilbara or Kimberley regions from
late May 2010 onwards, and later in the Darwin area.
While in Perth we have done some house-sitting/pet caring and we can supply
references or contact numbers. We would take very good care of your house,
garden and animals.
My husband is a joiner by trade and is qualified as a teacher and in
disability work, and is very practical. I am trained in disability work and
we both have many years experience in this field. We are parents of 3 fine
young people.
We are open and willing to look at anything in towns or remote areas,
including offering relief to carers of disabled adults or children. If you
need help in any way, with anything, do please send us (Ruth and Pierre) an email at bikesx2@gmail.com or phone 0402041115.

Couple wants to work anywhere (posted 14/7/09)
Having left our conventional jobs in the city (Doug was an interstate truck driver and Kim was a PA), we are on the road permanently, living and working our way around Australia in our offroad caravan. We are keen to work - caretaking, rural work, anything that is required.
We're a reliable couple in our late 40s keen to give you a much earned break. We are experienced in farming having owned and ran our rural property north of Gympie. We are handy with maintenance, irrigation, stock, feeding, renovations, gardening, office work, fencing etc.
We are honest and reliable and will care for yours as if it were our own. We are friendly, easy to get along with, good communicators and great organisers. With the offroad caravan, remote areas are no trouble for us to get to. We travel with no pets or children, are non-smokers, and are available all year around. Contact Doug (0411 597 933) or Kim (0414 623 734) or email us at dougkim6061@hotmail.com
