The camp will be moving on each day to a new location with the kitchen, tents and bedrolls, horse feed etc. being moved by trucks 4x4s etc. It is hoped that the ride will take place April May 2012 and cover 1000 miles in a big circle from the Murray river to Wilcannia across to Broken Hill and back. Orange region (posted 25/10/11)
Busy Mum  on a sheep and cattle property near Orange in central western NSW is looking for a friendly, easy going, handy grey nomad couple to help out with a few light jobs on the farm and around the garden until Xmas time.  We have 3 small active boys. Ideally, it would be a couple of hours helping 4  days a week, keeping the 2 little boys occupied while I teach school and catch up with a few farm jobs.  Anyone with a farming background or love of gardening is encouraged to come!  Own caravan required, but share amenities and free power. This is a volunteer position in exchange for a break from the open road. We live in a particularly beautiful part of Australia (now that the winter is behind us!). Orange has everything - great health facilities, shopping, numerous vineyards, award winning restaurants, stone fruit orchards (fruit picking season is almost upon us) and gorgeous country side.  We have a pretty garden, way too many chooks, a couple of peacocks, 4 poddy lambs, 2 puppies and 4 horses in the Jenny Craig paddock - the ultimate country experience.    Call Leila 02 6365 1245 or email info@leilafisher.com
