Central Highlands, Queensland (posted 29/4/11)
We are just about to welcome a new addition to our family and need a little help with our 3 year old son for a month or so whilst Mum recovers from a c-section.
We live on a cattle station in the Central Highlands with both commercial and stud cattle, horses and working dogs. We are located about an hour's drive from Emerald or Capella.
We will be home from hospital in mid-May and would ideally like some help from mid-May to mid-June, however, are flexible on duration. It's mainly to assist with our energetic (and ever so busy!) 3 year old with meals, getting dressed, playing and tidying up. Some limited household duties like hanging out the washing and any lifting (whilst Mum's out of action) and the like will be needed too. Mum will take care of the newborn. If you're a couple, there might be an opportunity for additional work on the farm. Things like helping Dad with the fencing, minor repairs and tending to our orchard and gardens. Free board available with plenty of room for your caravan etc... A small wage will also be negotiated in return for your services. Come and experience the "real outback" in the friendly Central Highlands! Contact tel: 0438 876729 or email spopowycz@hotmail.com as soon as possible to discuss the position. We look forward to hearing from you soon!
