Seasonal staff required at the Marree Hotel – Outback, South Australia
at the junction of the Oodnadatta and Birdsville Tracks.
The new owners of this classic outback Hotel invite interested people to work with us. The season commences around March 2012 and ramps up to its busiest period from the middle of the year through to around the end of October/November. Some staff would be required from the end of February.
The following positions are available:
- Seasonal Cook/Chef
- Head Barman
- Kitchen Hand/waiting
- Housekeeping
- Yard – maintenance – pool – handyman
Marree is a small outback community with a permanent population of around 80 people. In the tourist season though it swells to great numbers, particularly around the time of the Camel Cup, Birdsville and Finke races, and the Marree Gymkhana.

We are seeking a 'high energy' couple with their own accommodation to join our small dedicated team. The Prairie is a well regarded international tourist destination, family owned and run. The positions commence 13 February 2012, the start of the 2012 tourist season, for 3 months, with opportunity to extend. Both positions relate to the ‘Overflow’ accommodation adjacent to the Hotel and the Community Campground and report to the Owners. The successful applicants will possess the following attributes:
