Maintenance Mechanics -Mataranka & Katherine Packing Shed
(Temporary Harvest Role)

WE ARE ABOUT TO START HARVEST!

Oolloo Farms own and operate several orchards  in NT and Far North Qld successfully growing, picking, packing  and ripening Calypso TM mangoes.

We are in need of an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to join our team for our busiest time of year – NOW!

This role will be based at our Mataranka Farm and Katherine Packing Shed and will provide all the excitement and opportunity of a large scale commercial harvest season.

The main responsibilities of this role are:

• Provision of maintenance coverage for the Darwin farming and packing shed operations.
• Overcoming minor breakdowns on a variety of equipment
• Regular servicing of farm equipment including harvest aids, tractors, slashers, forklifts, trailers and bin tippers
• Basic packline maintenance

To be successful in this role you would need to demonstrate:

• Sound knowledge of mechanical breakdown and preventative maintenance
• Be a highly motivated individual with sound communication skills and a team player
• Welding experience highly regarded

This position will commence early to mid October and will be required for approximately eight weeks.  Additionally, there is a possibility that this role could continue for a further four weeks around our operations at Dimbulah,  Atherton Tableland, North Queensland.
