The Broken Heel Festival will prove that life in the Outback is never a drag when it brings some Priscilla Queen of the Desert-style glamour to the Silver City of Broken Hill. Hosted at the Palace Hotel and the Silverton Hotel in the spiritual home of the iconic Aussie movie, the event promises three days of ‘drag, divas, disco, dress-ups and damn good times’. Throughout the Festival’s three stages, visitors will experience non-stop entertainment, comedy, cabaret, live music and social activities paying homage to the iconic cult movie and stage musical, Priscilla Queen Of The Desert. And then there’s the Main Drag In Drag street parade on the Saturday of the Festival weekend, where the entire community of Broken Hill joins in on the celebrations.
