A caravan has rolled over near Melbourne Airport bringing traffic chaos to the city’s busy Western Ring Road.
No one was injured in the frightening accident, which happened shortly before rush hour got into top gear today.
No details are yet available about who was in the car towing the caravan at the time of the drama.
VicRoads is warning of lengthy peak-hour delays, and is advising motorists to allow extra time for their journey, or avoid the area altogether. Two lanes were closed after the accident.
There hase been an alarming number of caravan rollover already this year, with most happening in country areas.

Saw this today, we were stuck in the traffic jam.
Car was jacked upright and still connected to van.
Van looked like it had flipped twice as doorway was facing drivers side.

A lot of people travel too fast and dont drive to the conditions. We have been on the road in outback Queensland for the last three months, road trains move at 90km per hour. We sit on 85 to 90 which is fast enough on most roads. If you see a road train catching up there are plenty of stopping bays so you can pull off for a few minutes. The roads are really very good out here, better than the roads in victoria ans nsw so there is no excuse.
