A search has resumed this morning for two mture-aged bushwalkers missing in the NSW Blue Mountains area.
The men aged 69 and 81 are believed to have started their walk from Dunphy’s campground in the Megalong Valley last Wednesday.
They had previously told a friend that they intended to be back on Friday.
When the 69-year-old man failed to keep an appointment yesterday, officers from the Blue Mountains Police Area Command were notified and commenced a search for the missing men.
Police have located a car belonging to the missing 81-year-old man in the car park of Dunphy’s campground.

Both men are described as regular and experienced bushwalkers and police believe activity of this nature would have been within their capabilities.
A Command Post has been established and a co-ordinated multi-agency searching party involving officers from the Blue Mountains PAC, Rescue Squad, SES Bush Search and Rescue resumed this morning at 7m.
