The TYTO RV Park is positioned perfectly beside the Hinchinbrook Visitor Information Centre in Ingham, North Queensland. Ingham is the gateway to stunning tropical islands, World Heritage listed National Parks, gorgeous freshwater swimming spots and Australia’s largest single drop waterfall, Wallaman Falls, plunging 268 metres.
Park up your RV, Caravan, or Motorhome at the most idyllic location and explore your surroundings. Follow the path across an elevated walkway suspended above wetlands and walk through the canopies of raintrees.
Take a short stroll to the entrance of the TYTO Wetlands, a naturally low-lying floodplain where,
for many thousands of years, creeks and streams from the Herbert River Catchment have drained to form a natural wetland, part of the Herbert River Delta. Boasting 4 kilometres of designated walking tracks, four bird viewing platforms, seating, and a multitude of different eco systems.
The TYTO Wetlands offers a peaceful way to spend the day exploring and discovering the heart and soul of bird watching. Key Birdwatching species include the Eastern Grass Owl, White-Browed Crake, Crimson Finch, Jacana, and Cotton Pygmy-Geese. Listen, who will you hear?
