Charlotte Plains is a family-owned outback station and campground, famed among travelling enthusiasts. Located 55km east of Cunnamulla, Charlotte Plains offers outback camping and accommodation; an exceptional hot artesian bathing experience; insights into the 27,000ha working station; and an abundance of wildlife.
The Bore Campsite has unpowered sites within walking distance of 14 baths delivering free-flowing artesian water naturally heated up to 42°C that become ‘hot property’ at sunrise and sunset. Amenities include an ablution block, Wi-Fi, communal BBQs, as well as a Merch Hut and licensed bar operating during peak season.
The Shearers’ Campsite, situated 8.5km from the artesian baths, offers limited powered sites; whilst the Shearers’ Quarters and Merino Cabin provides onsite accommodation with comfortable beds, kitchen facilities, outdoor barbecue dining, and a campfire.
Guests can book a private bathing hut experience, with exclusive use of the baths and surrounding stunning landscape; or purchase a day pass if they are wishing to stop in for a soak or to take a self-guided property tour on their travels.
