Receptionist / Administration Team Member; Kununurra, WA

ITP Accounting Professionals Kununurra are seeking a friendly and organised Receptionist / Administration Team Member to be the first point of contact for our clients and to support the smooth day-to-day running of the office.

Work Type: Full Time / Part Time (negotiable)

Hourly Rate / Salary Package: (based on experience)

Job Tasks and Responsibilities

Your duties will include:

  • Greet clients promptly and professionally on arrival, assist with enquiries, and ensure a welcoming waiting area and client comfort.
  • Answer incoming calls promptly using a friendly, professional phone manner (e.g. “Thank you for calling ITP (location), this is NAME, how can I help you today?”), take accurate messages, and direct enquiries appropriately.
  • Book and manage appointments, confirming details and helping minimise client waiting times.
  • Complete initial client administration, including capturing basic details for new and returning clients and retrieving prior-year files/records where applicable.
  • Assist consultants by preparing relevant paperwork and ensuring client information is recorded accurately.
  • Process client payments where authorised and maintain accurate records; ensure any takings are handled appropriately and banked within required timeframes.
  • Maintain the general appearance, cleanliness, and presentation of the office, including reception, waiting area, and shared spaces.
  • Coordinate office supplies and general administrative tasks to support the team’s day-to-day operations.

Skills and Experience

About you:

  • Previous experience in reception and/or administration (professional services environment desirable).
  • Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, calm, and professional manner.
  • Strong communication skills (face-to-face and phone) and the ability to handle enquiries confidently.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to record client information accurately.
  • Well organised, reliable, and able to manage competing tasks during busy periods.
  • Neat presentation and willingness to follow workplace standards (dress, attendance, and confidentiality).
  • Confidence using basic office systems (email, calendars/booking tools) and willingness to learn internal systems and processes.
