Cherry picking/packing; Wagga Wagga, NSW

We are seeking persons interested in assisting in the harvest of cherries in the Young district, NSW. The work demand will not be high, only required at certain times of fruit ripening so will provide opportunities to explore the regions treasures – wineries, Chinese garden, and proximity to Canberra, Wagga Wagga, and surrounds.
Our farm is:
  1. very small,
  2. only 3km from town centre,
  3. produces a variety of cherries,
  4. ripen over a 4 week period – generally mid Nov to Mid Dec.
Sites on farm for caravans etc with power and toilet, shower available.
Work would be:
  1. Picking fruit (early mornings when it is cool)
  2. Sorting & Packing (afternoons in shed)
  3. Work load intermittent & variable (depending on fruit ripening),
  4. Paid on hourly basis,
  5. Generally laid back,
Numbers of people and duration of stay can be negotiated prior to and after harvest period.
