The year gone by has been another interesting one in the grey nomad world. As always, there has been plenty of debate about the rights and wrongs of towns offering free camping, about the rising cost of life on the road, and about where the best places for grey nomads to visit are.
But there has also been so much discussion about the joys of the grey nomad lifestyle … the new friendships forged, the laughs shared, and simply the satisfaction reaped from seeing and experiencing the many different aspects of this wonderful country.
It’s also been an exciting year for us. The site has continued to expand rapidly, bringing you daily news and, hopefully, interesting features. Along with many new website readers, we have been lucky enough to have thousands of new member join our active and friendly forum, seen activity on our Facebook page surge, and received so much positive feedback about our free fortnightly e-newsletter, the Grey Nomad Times.
2013 has also seen some stylish new additions to many of your Happy Hour wardrobes, courtesy of our growing range of merchandise.
The New Year will no doubt bring more excitement for those of you out there exploring – and planning to explore – this amazing country. We hope that we have helped – and will continue to help – to make your on-the-road experience just a little more enjoyable.
