The recent excitement generated by the Matildas’ thrilling World Cup run has – like other iconic events such as Cathy Freeman’s 400-metre Olympic heroics – demonstrated the magic of shared, communal experience.
It wasn’t just those inside the stadiums who lived every kick and every tackle, it was those who gathered in special fan zones and those who watched with others on TV screens in pubs, clubs, and even caravan parks.
Somehow sharing moments with a group of friends, and even a group of strangers, can elevate an experience to something more exciting and more special.
So, could communal sports watching, or movie watching, or show watching develop into an important part of the Big Lap adventure; much as Happy Hour gatherings have?
Well, consumer electronics developer, Anker Innovations, is certainly hoping so … and it’s just released the product that it hopes will regularly turn campgrounds into scenic cinemas! Its Nebula brand has started shipping the Mars 3 LED portable projector to US customers … and it’s promising to be a game changer.
The projector has 1080p dis play, boasts a 185 WH battery, and has a built-in smart AI-Image Adjustment which can analyse the environment to determine the optimal brightness to use.
The Mars 3 also offers auto focus, auto keystone correction, and auto screen fit. And, using Android TV 11, users can stream content from more than 7,000 apps, Chromecast, or use the built-in HDMI port.
The projector also offers great audio power, offering three speakers with Dolby audio powered by 40-Watts.
Other notable features of the Mars 3 include IPX3 water and dust resistance, and a built-in adjustable stand to raise up the front of the projector.
