A grey nomad has lost control of his caravan on a steep section of the Princes Highway and rolled over.
The 70-year-old’s 4WD and van careered off the road just past Central Tilba in New South Wales. The driver and his 68-year-old wife were treated by paramedics at the scene and both were taken to Bega Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
A NSW Health spokeswoman told the Bateman Bay Post that both suffered scalp lacerations in the incident.
Narooma police investigating the accident say the southbound driver got ‘the wobbles’ after cresting the hill. The wobbling became more severe until the Jeep and caravan jackknifed.
A NSW Ambulance spokesman said the vehicles were reported to have rolled several times.
The Bateman Bay Post reports that members of the public assisted the couple at the scene and helped them escape the vehicle.
