Anzac Day services honour those who have served

Published: April 25, 2013

Anzac Day services are being held around the country to mark the 98th anniversary of the World War I landing at Gallipoli.

Grey nomads were well represented among the huge crowds which gathered at dawn in towns and cities across the country to pay tribute to soldiers who fought and died in war. Further commemorative parades and wreath-laying ceremonies will be held throughout the day.

Over the years, hundreds of thousands have fought and died to protect our freedoms. We commend their courage and selflessness.

Lest we forget
