Grey nomads who have been caught up in recent extreme weather events ranging from floods and heatwaves to cyclones and lashing rains are being warned … ‘you ain’t seen nothing yet!’
According to a recent report from the Climate Commission, “extreme heat is increasing across Australia”, with record hot events three times more common than record cold events in the past decade. The study also found that “maximum wind speeds and rainfall rates that occur during tropical cyclones are likely to increase”, posing a greater risk to people and ecosystems.
Climate Commissioner Professor Will Steffen said Queensland was especially vulnerable to more intense cyclones, heavier rainfall and increased coastal flooding driven by rising sea levels.
The report states the sea level has risen 20cm over the past century
“You will have higher sea-level rise which means the frequency of coastal flooding is going to go up,” Prof Steffen said.
Heavy rainfall events are expected to become more frequent, while “it is virtually certain that Australians will face extreme hot weather more often”.

20 cm sea level rise in the last century this is Tim Flannery crap. No way has the sea level risen 20cms. All records show this to be blatantly untrue.
Yes there has been some extreme weather events but nothing extraordinary or different than we have had in the past. The difference has been in the population rise which makes more and more people affected when these events occur.

These claims have been ”de-bunked” by a large number of well known and respected climate change Experts world wide who are Independent of Goverment control, But they speak ”facts” not propaganda,
” the truth is out there”” But you will not hear it from the Goverment controlled ” Panel of experts”
Climate change true or false it depends on which set of experts or politicians you want to listen to, I believe that we can and should do what ever we can to improve our environment but please don’t try and hide another substantial tax grab by trying to tell us that climate change is man made, one volcanic eruption puts more of all pollutants in the atmosphere than man in a ten year period but politicians (Greens) wont discuss this as it is impossible to tax a volcano.
