The issues which caused the newly ‘upgraded’ Park Victoria campsite booking system to crash when it was launched a month ago are apparently close to being resolved.
In a new statement, the organisation says that campers will soon be able to start using the platform again.
“Following some system issues when bookings initially opened on 4 July, we have improved the security, monitoring and performance of the booking system and we will open bookings progressively over the coming weeks,” it said.
“The booking system is now back online, and bookings are open for camping and accommodation across the state for stays between 2 to 31 August 2023.”

Parks Victoria said bookings for stays between September 1, 2023, and October 6, 2024, will open progressively over the coming weeks, depending on location and booking dates.
Parks Victoria said all the information campers need to prepare for bookings opening for the rest of 2023 and into 2024 is available on its Booking Information page.
“We apologise for the system issues that occurred during the previous release,” it said. “And for the inconvenience caused by the booking system not performing as expected.”
