Complete setup to take your boat with you while towing your caravan. Everything fits inside the ute tub, and on the caravan bumper. Quickly sets up into a complete boat on its own trailer when you reach your destination.
The gear comprises the following:
– 3.3m Big Duck Inflatable Boat with aluminium floorboards and oars
– Suzuki 4 stroke 9.9hp outboard motor with electric start and electronic fuel injection. Fully serviced with less than 10 hours use.
– Mangrove Jack aluminium collapsible trailer with quick boltless assembly (38kg weight).
– All safety gear and everything necessary to use the boat for fishing, diving, or just exploring the islands.
Intended for easy setup and loading by one (not very strong) person, the setup includes a motor trolley, and a crane for lifting the motor from the trolley onto the transom. The inflation of the boat is with a 12V high-volume air pump. See photos.
The boat has 3 inflatable tube compartments and a separate keel compartment, with solid floor. You can stand in it to cast.
The Suzuki motor is effectively brand new (bought new August 2025), and in perfect condition. It is super-quiet, particularly at low revs. With all gear on board and an 80kg person, it planes at 28km/h in smooth water. Has a 6 year warranty provided it has all the services. It is salt water rated, has decompression release for easy pull-starts, fuel efficient, ultra-low emissions, and 12v charging for keeping battery topped up.
The Mangrove Jack trailer (bought new Aug 2025) collapses into parts that store on the back bumper of the caravan with two small mounting brackets (included). (trailer could also be stored in the ute or on the roofrack). The collapsible crane is also stored on the bumper. The trailer locks together with clever gravity pins that are quick and easy to insert and remove (no bolts/nuts/tools required!). Included is also a transom-saver, and security locking cable. The trailer is rated for 100km/h speeds, for up to 100km. Please note that the trailer is for on-road use and not suitable for towing over rocks etc. It works fine on firm beaches as the boat, motor, and trailer are actually very light in weight.
The setup comes with the following additional items that would normally cost you an arm-and-a-leg as shown in photos:
– Large white esky that stores all of the items listed below
– Cooper lightweight nylon 1.5kg anchor
– 50m anchor rope with 2m chain and plastic winding storage
– Collapsible rectangular bucket for convenient storage of anchor and rope while boat is moving.

– Boat repair kit including black and grey vinyl patches, glue, air valve spanner
– Under-seat waterproof dry storage compartment that includes comfort padding for the seat
– Safety kit including orange baling bucket, LED torch, signalling mirror, whistle, V-flag
– Yellow flares container including two flares and two smoke flares (expired 2025 so need new ones as well)
– Motor tool kit including plug spanner, allen key, spanner, pliers, screwdriver

– Motor manual and service record. Motor cover x2, one full length for travel protection, and one for the power head only when on water.
– Red Suzuki 10litre fuel tank, which lasts an incredibly long time. Petrol tube and squeeze bulb.
– Gantry crane to lift motor
– Motor trolley to store motor in lying down position in ute, and to wheel motor around when out of ute. Trolley designed to easily allow loading of motor into ute using only small lifting force (for bad backs!). Lifting force is around 10kg!
– Spare wheel for trailer.
– Trailer lightboard and numberplate.
This is the perfect setup for your lap of Australia, or trips to lakes and beaches in WA. No boat on top of vehicle that restricts your ability to drive the car anywhere that there are trees over the road, or into garages.

This setup gives you the freedom to easily cover quite substantial distances (20+ km) on the water and even offshore (calm weather only). Having the trailer means that you only set it up once at your base, and then are easily able to use it at any location that is the best under the weather conditions on that day.
If you want to use the electric start function of the motor, you will need to add a motorbike size battery. Obviously, the battery could also power a fishfinder/chartplotter, navigation lights, radio, etc.
