Assistant Caretaker Couple Wanted – Whitsundays, QLD

Are you ready for a sea change? This is a long-term position, minimum 3-12 months. We are looking for a support couple for our current managers.

Start date 30^th of October or earlier.

Our small resort has 8 absolute beachfront fully self-contained bungalows and 3 additional rooms, offering guests direct access to the crystal-clear waters of the Whitsundays.

But it’s not all beach walks and sunsets. We need a practical, hands-on couple to step into this unique role.

What we are Looking For:

• A couple with a broad skill set.
• We currently mostly have the cleaning of the units covered but require 2-8hours a week when needed on a casual basis to clean and for office/guest services.
• Experience with pumps, dams, and water tanks, as this is what the resort lives off.
• Ideally, someone who can handle everything from plumbing and maintenance to gardening, irrigation.
• Problem solvers who can think on their feet and spot potential issues before they arise.

The Role: At times you’ll be the face of the resort and on hand for all kinds of tasks—whether it’s a late check-in, fixing a guest’s issue after hours. Flexibility and a “can-do” attitude are a must.

Hours per week – 10hrs maintenance/yardie for power and water and paid $100 per week.

Casual cleaning/guest services separate at 2-8hours per week on casual basis as per above.

Your own transport is required as there is no public transport.
