Gordon Country is a hugely popular country paradise and has been described by RM Williams “the way Australia used to be”!
We are offering Grey Nomads the opportunity to visit and stay with us in exchange for Camp Host duties.
Our preference is for Applicants to commit to one calendar month of duties. The Camp Host duties would include cleaning amenities; housekeeping, reception or light maintenance tasks, all to be agreed with the property owners.
The number of Hours, days of the week and times are negotiable but expect around 4 hours, 3 or 4 times per week. You will be provided a free (staff-only) grassed powered van site with water, use of gas hot showers and flushing toilets. Wifi will also be made available, as there is sparse cell coverage in this location.
Here’s some information about who and where we are. Gordon Country is a 4500 acre rural property of lush rainforest and farmland, located at beautiful Goomburra, Queensland. We join onto the World Heritage Main Range National Park and we’re only 40 minutes from the convenience of Warwick or about 2 hours from Brisbane.
We are a family (5th generation) business and we offer camping, cabin accommodation and a beautiful function venue for weddings or other significant occasions. We are family oriented and our guests can enjoy many activities on the property. These range from 4WD tracks; bushwalking; swimming in the Dalrymple and Banshee Creeks or just simply laying on the green grass under shade of the trees relaxing by the campfire cooking marshmallows!
Your commitment and performance may lead to an offer of paid casual work for substantial hours, especially during peak times.
This is a wonderful opportunity to stop, to relax in a premier country setting, enjoy a free van site surrounded by forest and farm animals, for a modest workload.
