We have a 48-acre organic and biodynamic farm 25 km NW of Brisbane, near Samford, Qld, with stunning views of Mt Nebo and Mt Glorious. The property includes 4 km of contours and over 2000 planted trees. We rotationally graze 35 cattle in electric fencing.
We live offsite on 5 acres nearby with our two young kids, three dogs, a cat, chickens, and a horse. We need help moving, watering and feeding cattle 1-2 times daily on the farm, as well as feeding animals, caring for the horse, and watering the garden when we are away. You’ll also have the chance to use an electric ATV for farm tasks. Depending on your skillset, we have other small projects on site that we would appreciate assistance with.
In exchange for your help, you can camp for free by our large private pool or enjoy discounted rent of a comfortable 1-bedroom cabin for $250 per week, which includes bathroom, laundry, kitchen, and large North facing deck.
We need support during the December/January school holidays for both properties, to enable us to go on holidays. Longer term stays are preferred, cattle experience is ideal and friendly pets are welcome too. Check out @farmer.ly on Instagram for more details.
