Caretaker wanted for 2 weeks from 3rd January to 15th January 2024 . Seeking Caretaker with own caravan/mobile home to caretake our 700 acre cropping and livestock property located approximately 30 kms from south of Ararat in Victoria.
We are on a quiet, country road. No noisy neighbours or traffic noise, perfect for relaxing and taking in the views of the Grampians!
A cabin is located on the property, where caretakers can access water, power, shower toilet, fridge/freezer, washing machine & laundry facilities.
Each day we will require the caretaker to check (water, feed and general health) of our sheep (400ewes with lambs at foot) and cattle (11cows with calves at foot). The sheep may need to be moved from one paddock to the next. Cattle will not need moving. Also to please care for, x1 border collie dog, x1 siamese cat and a few ducks and chooks.
We require the caretaker to have a basic understanding of animal husbandry needs. We have family that live close by and will be on hand to help out if needed.
We are about 40 minutes from the beautiful Grampians where you can find some great bush walks if that is what you enjoy.
