Caretaker wanted for Misty Mountain Farm in exchange for a place to park your caravan.
Misty Mountain Farm is a beautiful property nestled in the Crossmaglen Valley on the Coffs Coast.
This property is home to cattle, sheep, donkeys, chickens, horses, dogs, as well as an abundance of wildlife. We are 15 minutes from Sunny Sawtell and its amazing beaches, 20 min to the beautiful Bellinger river and Bellingen, 25 min to Coffs Harbour and all a small city has to offer.
My long term goal is to re-vegetate the land, re-instate the multiple waterways that once flowed through the property and provide wildlife corridors for people an animals to enjoy.
As a caretaker you would be entrusted with maintaining the farm which would include having awareness of animal safety and well-being in order to notify me to address. General garden maintenance and tidying to keep areas visually presentable. I do the mowing so would be whipper snippering, weeding and pruning mainly.
Jobs include:
· General maintenance
· Garden maintenance
· Moving of sheep for day grazing
Requirements:
· A good level of health and fitness
· Non smoker
· No heavy drinkers
Accomodation is available – a stable has been converted into accomodation. It has a single bed, wash basin and lounge.
Caravan parking is available.
A Small contribution toward electricity will be requested depending on usage.
Water provided.
The stables join onto other sheds which have a sitting area and a kitchenette/laundry. There is a toilet block with a shower and toilet, a short distance from the stable area.
