CHEELA PLAINS STATION STAY, offers an ideal stop over along the long 669 km trip between the world heritage listed Ningaloo Reef and Karijini National Park. Meals and full catering packages are available for company staff and guests in the Red Plains Café/dining room all year round. Customers range from tourists to corporate guests from the resources mining exploration sector and/or road works. Cheela Plains Station Stay is also a welcome safety rest stop for travellers whether passing through the area for work or holiday. Travelers may stop briefly to break their long journey to utilize the amenities, enjoy a coffee or snack from the Red Plains Café while checking messages on the ever-precious mobile coverage, or choose to stay for one or more nights to intimately experience the magnificent beauty of the Pilbara landscapes. The facilities include a large oval lawn with 28 campsites, 31 rooms that utilize shared amenities and 4 ensuite rooms. The Red Plains Café is open from 7:00am-2:00pm daily offering breakfast, lunch, coffee, cake, toasties, fruit, sandwiches and soft drinks just to name a few. Dinner is served daily at 6:30pm. Guest attractions include 4X4 self-drive gorge safaris, walking trails, vast 360-degree views from the epic Sunset and Cave lookouts, dark sky viewing and happy hour around the iconic Red Plains campground fire pit. The Station Stay is open to corporate guests year-round and open to tourists seasonally from April to October.
