Looking for experienced person or couple for potentially 2 – 3 weeks in April / May to take care of cattle on a 1000 Acre farm ~ 90 quiet Murray Grey breeders whilst my parents have a break.
Lots of shady trees if you want to bring your own van and park on the lawn – kitchen, laundry and bathroom available for use in the house.
20 minutes North of Bindoon, 1 hr 15 minutes from Joondalup, Perth.
Tons of walking tracks, hills and interesting countryside to explore.
Dates are negotiable, potentially from the 13th April or some time after that.
Must be able to deal with cattle husbandry i.e. use calf puller if needed, feed cattle hay daily, monitor the herd.
Cattle are fed using winch driven feed out trailer, towed by vehicle. Tractor to load square bales. Takes max 2 hrs per day.
Calving starts April – older ones easy calvers, 6 first calvers in the mix.
Paid position, Hourly rate, Min 3hrs per day for feeding / husbandry. If want further hours, plenty of fencing and repair work available but not necessary.
