Discover the Peace & Beauty of Hawthorne Farm – Teebar, QLD
Your next secluded camping escape awaits!
If you’re a seasoned traveller seeking the road less travelled, Hawthorne Farm in Teebar offers the perfect retreat. Nestled approximately 50 km southwest of Maryborough, our property is a haven for those who value peace, space, and a genuine connection with nature.
We have nine private, mown-grass campsites tucked away along Teebar Creek, Victoria Grace Creek, our billabong, and our picturesque wetland. Each site is completely secluded — no other campers in sight — and available for stays from 2 to 7 nights. Access varies from easy 4WD RV sites to spots perfect for 4WD caravans, camper vans, or pop-up campers.
All visitors must be self-contained, as there are no on-site toilets or showers, but fresh water is available. Enjoy the warmth of a campfire under a star-filled sky — firewood for your first two nights is included, with more available for purchase. Fires are permitted only in raised fire pits for safety.
Hawthorne Farm is reached via a 5 km easy 4WD gravel road off the Maryborough–Biggenden Road. Once here, you’ll not only enjoy the tranquillity but also have the opportunity to learn about our in-ground tree nursery and our pioneering environmental work. We are establishing a carbon farming project under the Carbon Act and a biodiversity project under the Nature Repair Act, supported by the Burnett Mary Regional Group.
Nature lovers will find plenty to explore — from birdwatching and spotting native wildlife to joining one of our guided flora, fauna, and conservation tours. These tours offer insight into our land’s ecology and the important restoration work we’re undertaking.
