Heggies Hill Bush Camp is the perfect base camp to explore the Wonders of the Mid-North. It is located high up in the Southern Flinders Ranges in Tarcowie, South Australia. The campsite is 700meters above sea level, nestled in native scrubland. Set up camp in amongst the trees and kangaroos, enjoy your campfire with incredible views. Our bush camp is hidden away on a working farm where sheep and cropping are run. Heggies is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy nature. If you want to get out to explore, Heggies is the ideal central location to the beautiful historic towns of the Mid-North, with most being within a 30 minute drive.
Our campsites are non-powered, with non-potable water and a fire pit at each site. Campers have access to a full flush toilet, no drinking water or showering facilities are provided. All rubbish is to be taken with you. We offer the option of purchasing a generous drum of good quality firewood for $20.
This is the ideal place to stay on your way to the Flinders Ranges. Our local pub in Tarcowie is re-opening in April 2024 and is a 5 minute drive from our campsite. We have limited mobile phone coverage, generally you will get 2 bars if you are with Telstra.
Dogs/ pets welcome! They must be restrained as there is wildlife and livestock close by.
Camping is $16 per person, per night.
