Our campsites are set up for self-contained campers, however there is a bush shower with warm water and a drop toilet available on site if required. The campsites are located in a rural setting with shady trees, friendly cows and mountain views close to the Fitzroy River. Relax around a campfire on a peaceful dam and listen to the kookaburras. Or dip your toes into the cool water whilst sipping a cool drink as the sun sets.
We are only 10km to the Fitzroy River/Thompson Point boat ramp and pontoon. Enjoy some excellent fishing and crabbing on the river, bird watching and bush walking up the many hills. Only1/2 hr. drive to the beaches (Emu Park & Yeppoon), National Parks (Mt Etna Caves, Mt Archer Baga, Limestone Creek), and Rockhampton (Kershaw Gardens & Rockhampton Free Zoo).
Campfires are allowed in the firepits provided on each site. (Welcomed to BYO own firepit). Pre-cut fire wood is available for sale on site. Pets are welcome, however they must be kept within your allocated campsite area and supervised at all time. Quiet genset are allowed 8am to 8pm.
