Wooramel River Retreat; Coral Coast, WA

Nestled beneath the gum trees along the banks of the Wooramel River, Wooramel River Retreat offers a relaxed and authentic outback stay on our family-owned cattle and goat station, 120km south of Carnarvon on Western Australia’s Coral Coast. Best known for our naturally warm artesian baths, Wooramel is a place to slow down, reconnect and experience station life at your own pace.

Spend your days soaking in the geothermal baths, wandering bush trails, spotting wildlife or exploring the station on a self-drive 4WD adventure. We offer yoga sessions, giving guests another way to unwind and settle into the rhythm of the outback. Evenings are usually spent around the campfire under big starry skies, often with live music and good conversation shared between travellers. Our café serves simple, hearty food with a focus on local and regional produce.

Accommodation ranges from spacious unpowered campsites — including riverside, grassy and open flat sites — through to comfortable glamping tents with beds, linen and towels provided, plus ensuite rooms for those after a few extra comforts. Guests also have access to camping kitchens, hot showers, toilets, BBQs, fire pits and laundry facilities. Please note that drinking water is not supplied, so guests are encouraged to bring their own.
Wooramel River Retreat is open from 1 March to 1 December each year.
Camping Rates (2 adults):
  • Flat Sites — $34 per night
  • Grass Sites — $38 per night
  • Riverside Sites — $42 per night
We also offer a pay 3, stay 4 nights deal for campers.
