Caravan crash in WA … no life-threatening injuries

Published: June 4, 2018

A serious crash involving a caravan has led to the closure of the both lanes of a major arterial road on the outskirts of Perth in Western Australia.

At least two cars – one of them towing a caravan – were involved in the accident on the Reid Highway at Bennett Springs.

Two ambulance crews rushed to the scene late this morning, but it is not believed any of the injuries sustained are life threatening.

The caravan has reportedly been destroyed in the incident, and firefighters and Main Roads employees are cleaning up the debris.

Further details of the accident are not known at this stage.

I doubt it…. Most weight in any caravan is down with chassis and water tanks batteries etc. More than 3/4 of a Caravans weight is within the the bottom half of a van

This was our silver line caravan being towed by our son . The family was returning home when a car going the opposite direction bounced off another car and hit my son’s car and caravan. Luck and good driving by him kept the car and caravan upright . Caravan has some damage but his Jeep is a write off.
