Women injured, dog flees, following caravan rollover

Published: September 15, 2017

Two women are believed to have been injured in a caravan rollover on the Bruce Highway this morning.

However, the Queensland Ambulance Service says the women are delaying treatment while they look for their dog that ran into bushland after the accident.

Paramedics are understood to be waiting on the side of the road until the women return from looking for their missing pet before they can give them a medical assessment.

Early indications are that there was just one vehicle towing a caravan involved in the accident, which took place at St Lawrence about 160 kilometres south of Mackay.

Motorists in the area are being urged to proceed with caution.
