A very Happy Easter to all grey nomads and their families.
We hope you have all found a fantastic place to spend the holiday season, and are settled in to enjoy a fabulous long weekend.
As in all major holiday times, the camping experience that grey nomads are accustomed to for the vast majority of the year is about to be transformed. Quiet free camping areas become anything but, caravan parks become filled with kids on bikes and scooters, and the ‘no noise after 10pm’ tradition gets a severe testing.
However, this is above all a joyous time, and it is great to see so many people enjoying the camping lifestyle that grey nomads love so much.
It is a reminder of how lucky we all are to be where we are and doing what we are doing … all year around!
Enjoy … and, if you are travelling over the Easter period, please take extra special care on the roads.
I rarely travel during Easter because of the congestion on the roads and the people who feel they have to speed to fit everything in a few short days. It is more relaxing and safer for me to stay in the best resort…at home!
We’re the same, if you’re retired why would you want to go away at Easter & get mixed up with all of the madness?
We live in a very popular tourist area & avoid driving during Easter.
