The second and final stage of massive upgrades to the infrastructure at Ebor Falls in the New England region of New South Wales have now been completed.
Visitors will be welcomed back at one of the region’s most scenic and popular natural attractions, with an official re-opening taking place on May 5.
The $5.5 million upgrade follows significant fire damage and has made the site in Guy Fawkes River National Park more accessible and spectacular.
Over the last six months, two new lookouts, picnic shelters and visitor amenities have been installed at the Lower Falls.
The National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) says the driving force behind this massive renovation was the desire to rebuild fire-impacted infrastructure in a way that made it accessible to as many people as possible, including those who use wheelchairs or have limited mobility.

There is now direct, flat access from the newly upgraded car parks to new, wide paths connecting the picnic facilities, amenities and viewing platforms.
NPWS A/Director John Whittall said the grand re-opening of the visitor precinct would be held at Ebor Falls on Saturday, May 4, from 10 am.
‘These renovations demonstrate our commitment to creating world-class lookouts and walking tracks that open up our national parks for everyone to enjoy,” he said. ‘We are so pleased that this second stage of upgrades is now complete, and we invite everyone to join us.”
