With the cherry orchards reaching their peak leaving the local landscape glowing red and green, Young celebrates its long association with the ruby-red fruit in some style. As well as the chance to pick cherries, and enjoy fresh cherries, lively markets, live music, and dazzling fireworks, visitors will also get to witness some pretty unique events … including a pip spit competition, and a cherry pie eating competition! The event has organised for a continuous courtesy bus to loop between the Showground, Caravan Park, and Library throughout the festival.
