Inspired by early 1900’s Hunter Valley stockman Archie ‘Bung’ McInnes, the Challenge is a celebration of the traditional skills of Australian stockmen and women and showcases the tasks they use daily, through an exciting competition to determine who will be crowned the next King of The Ranges. The Bush Festival’s full program features a spectacular re-enactment of the ‘Ode to Bung McInnes’, and a whole host of other events including bush poetry and live music. This is a wonderful family weekend to enjoy the history and traditional skills of the Australian bush in a beautiful setting at the foot of the Liverpool Ranges.
