The event is an authentic Aboriginal cultural experience celebrating Indigenous music, culture and sport. More than 4,000 people head out to the small community of Barunga, 80 kilometres southeast of Katherine and all are encouraged to join in the festivities and enjoy a unique opportunity to engage with a remote Indigenous community. The festival features a range of activities, including traditional dance and music performances, art exhibitions, workshops, sports competitions and cultural talks. The Traditional Owners welcome visitors to camp.
