The Never Never Festival embraces and celebrates the diversity of the Never Never and is a tribute to Jeannie Gunn’s famous novel, ‘We of the Never Never’ which was responsible for putting Mataranka on the international stage. The town has united to showcase the magic of the Never Never, extending the much-loved festival over two weekends. The family-friendly event will be full of culture, music, food, art, dance and sport. The first weekend on May 11 and May 12 will feature markets and a rodeo, while the second weekend from May 17-19 will be headlined by a campdraft.
