Born out of a desire to honour the region’s avocado industry, this unique free event now draws thousands of visitors to the avo-themed fun. Of course, visitors will have plenty of chances to enjoy the freshest and finest avocados from professional growers and home-grown products from smaller growers. Other highlights include the iconic ‘avo roll’ and a variety of other avo games. There will also be live entertainment, arts activities, a street parade, market stalls, helicopter rides and the famous ‘Avo Drop’ where parachutists jump from 5,000 feet and attempt to grab a marker as they land inside the drawing of a giant avocado.
