Paying tribute to Banjo Paterson’s iconic poem ‘The Man from Snowy River’, this event celebrates bush folklore, skills and traditions based around the icon Jack Riley and all he represented. It is a unique bush gathering of mountain riders, poets, artists and lovers of the Australian High Country and pioneering spirit. Flagship events include a Stockman’s Challenge, a live re-enactment of Banjo’s poem), a rodeo and a Riley’s Ride (a dying Jack Riley’s last ride from Tom Groggin Station to Corryong). These flagship events are supported by a further 28 events, using 23 different venues.
