This hugely popular free event celebrates the legend of Moondyne Joe, the Avon Valley’s legendary bushranger. Everyone is encouraged to dress in pioneer period costume, with the highlight of the day being the re-enactment of Moondyne Joe’s various arrests, mock trials, and escapes. There’s a whole range of entertainment though the day, with artisan and heritage crafts, healthy food stalls and loads of other fun activities for everyone … including a moustache competition.
