A campervan has burst into flames north of Sydney, sparking a massive traffic jam on the busy M1Pacific Highway.

No one was injured as the drama unfolded at Mt White, although the campervan was completely destroyed in the incident.

It was eventually taken from the scene on a truck, and investigations are now continuing into the cause of the blaze.

Police say the closure of one of three southbound lanes near the Weigh Station caused traffic chaos and, at one stage, vehicles were backed up for 10 kilometres.

  1. Not good I hope they where insured

    • No insurance when you dont have an engineer’s certificate for an illegally fitted motor. Karma for all his behavior
