A Queensland council has come up with an innovative ‘stop and shop’ initiative that allows grey nomads to earn a night of free camping … and grey nomads are loving it.
All travellers on the Fraser Coast have to do is produce a receipt showing they have spent $10 in a local business to grab a voucher and park up for 20 hours. But will other local authorities follow their lead? Issue 107 of the Grey Nomad Times finds out! We also meet a couple in their 80s who have been travelling in the same rig for 40 years, visit the Bungle Bungle ranges, and Jaclyn and Heidi help a ‘veteran’ traveller decide whether it’s time to unhitch the rig the last timer.
The latest GNT also brings a full page of Classifieds offering a mountain of jobs, housesits and items for sale.
As usual, there’s plenty more happening on the Big Lap … and it’s all in our bumper eight-page edition. Enjoy!
