A grey nomad has died after suffering a heart attack and crashing his car into a tree in Childers.
The 75-year-old was towing a caravan at the time of the accident which happened on Churchill Street.
Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman Warren Smith told the Bundaberg News and Mail that paramedics arrived at the scene and performed CPR for about 40 minutes.
“It looks like the driver has had a cardiac arrest while driving and crashed into a tree,” he said. “But despite our best efforts he has died on the scene.”
The man’s wife was taken to Bundaberg Hospital suffering back injuries. The crash happened at about 10.30am today.
Our thought are with the wife, Hope she copes ok from here on with out her sole mate.
God bless.
John

Would appreciate any ideas on the most caravan friendly route from the Tasmanian Midlands Highway to the east coast?
