It’s official! Issue 77 of the Grey Nomad Times can confirm that taking the Big Lap really is good for your health and wellbeing.
We meet Jeff who was mildly depressed before hitting the open road with his canine companion … and now can’t wipe the smile off his face. We also meet a veteran grey nomad who rejects the comforts of a caravan or motorhome … and sometimes even a tent.
We dip our toes in Kimberley adventure by visiting Derby, home of giant tides, prison boabs, and sensational sunsets. Gizmo Guy Phil C finds a way to make pegging down his annexe a piece of cake, and Jaclyn and Heidi disagree about whether a wound-up traveller needs to chill or not.
As well as as the usual spread of letters on all manner of grey nomad topics, we also bring you a two-page letters special on the thorny issue of rest area ‘misuse’. And don’t forget to check out our grey nomad ‘jobs’, ‘items for sale’, and ‘housesits’ in our burgeoning Classifieds section. If all that is not enough, our popular quiz is sure to get you scratching your heads. Enjoy!

The lead story about Jeff and his handsome Golden Retriever not only rang a lot of bells for me as I am in a similar position but also made my eyes leak a bit at such a good news story, such a nice change from all the bad and dismal stuff and all the moaners and whingers!
Jeff sounds to be in a ‘good place’ now and I congratulate him for that, I send him all good wishes for the future.
