Grey nomads led to safety as bushfires rage in WA

Published: November 20, 2015

In a tragic week in which four people were killed in WA bushfires, frightening stories are just emerging of how very much worse it could have been.

Issue 110 of the Grey Nomad Times reveals how a hero fireman led a convoy of 100 vehicles – including many grey nomads – away from the path of the deadly firefront near Esperance, potentially saving many lives.

We also meet a couple who are taking their own sweet time finding a place to call home, say whoopee for Woopi, take delivery of a remote package, and find out why there’s no business like sew business.

The latest GNT also brings a full page of Classifieds offering a mountain of jobs, housesits and items for sale.

As usual, there’s plenty more happening on the Big Lap … and it’s all in our bumper eight-page edition. Enjoy!
