The Grey Nomads Podcast has launched … and it’s proved an instant hit.
The first episode was listened to more than 1600 times within the first 24 hours, making it one of the most downloaded podcasts in Australia.
The debut show focussed on the trials and tribulations of reversing the caravan. Host Oliver Gough chatted to a couple who freely admit they have long struggled with the manoeuvre, and then to a self-proclaimed reversing ‘master’ who was only too happy to pass on his ‘secrets’.
The podcast’s light-hearted format proved a big hit with early listeners.
“Thanks for the podcast,” wrote David Knoble. “It wasn’t only informative, but very entertaining!”
Doug Radford was another eager to offer congratulations … and advice. He says that if a caravan park office ever offers to reverse your van for you, you shouldn’t hesitate.
“Always take up the offer, no matter how good you think you are at backing!” he said. “Park people know their park, the sites and the difficulties … and they will have you parked while you are still thinking about it!”
The Grey Nomads Podcast has a host of entertaining, and inspirational, guests lined up to appear on upcoming episodes.
